Operation Enduring Opportunity

Connecting Returning Veterans with Franchises

Veterans have long been considered excellent candidates for franchise ownership.  Their familiarity with systems-based procedures often translates into exceptional business prowess, making them sought after in the franchise community.  For years, however, franchise brands across the United States have struggled with finding an outlet for connecting with and hiring former military personnel.
In November 2011, the International Franchise Association launched the Operation Enduring Opportunity Campaign in an effort to improve networking options between franchises and veterans.  Currently 530 companies – including Weed Man USA – provide job training and offer discounts on their franchise fees for veterans as part of the campaign.
To date, more than 64,000 veterans, military spouses, and wounded soldiers have started franchise careers through the Operation Enduring Opportunity Campaign.  The IFA has nearly reached its target of 75,000 just one year into the 3-year program.
