Weed Man Billings, Lexington, and Toronto Work to Beautify Healthy Outdoor Spaces in their Communities
April is Earth Month, but did you know it’s also National Lawn Care Month? At Weed Man, these themes go hand in hand. We believe in and advocate for the environmental benefits of healthy green spaces – like oxygen production, carbon sequestration, and flood reduction – whether that’s a residential lawn or a community park.
Throughout the month of April, teams at Weed Man franchises across North America participated in local cleanup days. Here are a few highlights.
Weed Man Billings, MT
On April 27, 2024 the Weed Man team in Billings, Montana participated in the Bright n' Beautiful Cleanup Day. The team had a blast gathering trash bags and supporting the amazing volunteers with two of our Weed Man trucks and plenty of snacks. Together, with the Billings community, the Weed Man team made Billings cleaner and greener!
Weed Man Lexington, KY
On April 21, 2024, 30 team members at Weed Man Lexington participated in the Main Street Clean Sweep event in honor of Earth Week! In partnership with Bluegrass Greensource, the team cleaned up litter around the Distillery District, especially in the creek.
“For us, being able to give back to the community that has supported us and partnered with us... it feels good to just get all of our guys and gals out here and just support the community any way we can,” says Lexington branch manager Landon Miller.
On April 20, 2024, in partnership with the Green Cities Foundation, and in honor of Earth Day, Weed Man Toronto participated in a cleanup day at St. James Park. Along with other green industry groups and Toronto residents, the team tidied, aerated, and re-seeded the park!
